Assigned Reading TBR: Neuromancer by William Gibson

I’ve decided to do something a bit different for my assigned reading this month. Instead of a recommendation from Mr NW, I’m joining others in reading and discussing Neuromancer by William Gibson.

The matrix: A consensual hallucination experienced daily by billions of users. A world within a world…

Case was the hottest computer cowboy cruising the information superhighway. Jacking his consciousness into cyberspace, soaring through tactile lattices of data and logic, rustling encoded secretes for anyone with the money to buy his skills. The he double-crossed the wrong people…

The premise sounds interesting! I’m hoping it lives up to the blurb on the back. If anyone else is interested in reading along, please feel free to join in. I’m planning to start reading tonight. I’ll be posting my review on here towards the end of the month, and I’ll be participating in the forum.

Have you read Neuromancer? Did you enjoy it?

  1. I haven’t read it myself (yet) but it’s my boyfriend’s favourite book so he’ll probably end up putting it on my reading list at some point. I have high hopes for it when I get round to reading it!

      1. Yes, it does seem to be different from the books that I normally read. I’ve read mixed reviews of it with a lot of comments about the writing style. I hope you enjoy reading it!
